At this site

you can adjust the Maps and Event triggers in the FFV SNES rom. Upload a copy and follow this guide to learn the basics of what you need to change to make edits like this.

How to Adjust Maps and Event Triggers

Choose the Triggers tab on the right side panel, then Right Click the town or shrine (something with an entrance) that you want to edit.

Its data will show up on the right side panel.

Note the X and Y Destinations, and the Map that this entrance leads to. In this example, it’s Map 27, so the next step is to go to that map and confirm the entrance is where we want it.

Zoom Out to See the Whole Map

So on map 27 (and most of them) you’ll need to zoom out in order to see the whole thing at once.

The color tiles are spots on the map that have triggers set— that is, they are interaction points. Exits and entrances, NPC, and treasure boxes are all event triggers (but the NPCs don’t count as tiles in this editor).

The circled blue tile is where the Wind Shrine 1F entrance is found, so the goal right now is to confirm that it’s at the same X & Y values from the World Map entrance. Right click on it, and you can see its data, so you can check. It’s right up top, after the Zoom control: ( 19, 29 ) so close enough to confirm it’s what we’re expecting.

There’s more info to check into, namely where this door/exit will send the player when they leave back to the World Map.

So leave this map for a moment, and go find Trigger Event 493 now.

Choose Trigger Event 493, and what it does will appear in readable “code notes” in the bottom middle of the ff6tools editor.
