What It Does?
All Jobs except Monk & Mime gain 1 or 2 new weapon options.
History
Here’s what T92 added, in the “Better Job Equipment” that inspired this:
- ✅ Knights can equip Axes
- ✅ Dragoons can equip Swords
- ❌ White Mages can equip Bows
- nixing this in my version
- White Mages get Hammers, like in FF1
- Black Mages get Bows, like in FF3
- ✅ Summoners can equip Whips
- ❌ Mimes can equip any weapon or armor
Details
Here are the new additions my patch creates, allowing for much more utility for many previously unloved weapon families:
- Knights get Axes
- credit to T92
- evoke the FFXI Warrior class a bit more
- Monks are unchanged
- Thieves get Bows
- they become more like D&D rogues
- Dragoons get Swords (like in FF4
- Ninja get Katana
- (they still might prefer Knives or Ninja Swords, yet now have more options)
- Samurai get Bows
- Berserkers get Ninja Swords
- they’re versatile melee artists
