Public thanks to Chicken Knife for fixing dozens and dozens of mis-colored pixels in the FFV battle sprites, in their “Sprite Touch-Ups” patch.

Public thanks also to Cubear for spending a year (!) drawing custom map sprites for all 5 main characters x all 21 Jobs. Their work (”FFV Dress Code”) is in open beta so feel free to provide feedback to them on the extensive illustrations that were designed.

The romhacker who brought the FFV Advance screenplay into the SNES version of FFV (J121) also has their work used here— they made an impactful change to match Galuf’s hair color in battle to his map sprites, which works really well alongside Cubear’s Dress Code art, so it’s included as well (”Ginger Galuf”).

With that out of the way, I’ll mention that I contributed some custom pixel art too, because I wanted to see how Krile looked without the exaggerated “chibi” style.

Also, I strongly believe that Bartz needs to wear white sleeves and pantz(sic) on the map to match his battle outfit. Lenna, too, needs to wear sleeves, so I made this happen for her Freelancer/Normal appearance on the map and in battle both.
